CYSI, teamed up with Ensemble Christo – Los Angeles will be traveling to Phnom Pehn, Cambodia & Seoul, Korea on 6/26-7/3. In Phnom Pehn, we will have two concerts with a local student musicians from Messiah International Art School; and in Seoul, Nehemiah Choir from Daum School (a school for North Korean refugees) will join us in a concert! Christian Youth Symphony of Irvine celebrates the 500th anniversary of the church reformation with Bethel Choir, Kenosis Chamber Choir and Ensemble Christo. Program includes Mendelssohn’s “Reformation” Symphony, the last movement from Beetheoven’s “Symphony No. 9,” selections from Bach’s Cantata No. 80, “Feast of Reformation” and the U.S. Premiere of “Oh, Hallelujah, All the Earth” by Elliott Bark.

2017 marks the 8th anniversary of the Irvine Korean Cultural Festival, an event designed to celebrate and share Korean cultural heritage and artistic traditions with the broader Irvine community and Orange County.
The Festival takes place on Saturday, May 13 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Irvine Civic Center. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
